Course Description and Objectives:
An important FSMA requirement is for every processing facility to have a qualified resource person or “Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI)“, who has either adequate experience in food safety plan and implementation or has successfully completed a training course in the development and application of risk-based preventive controls. The trainees will be trained to oversee the implementation of the facility’s food safety plan and other key activities. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will:
- prepare food safety plan
- implement food safety plan
- receive their Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certificate from TMAC-GC.
None; however, familiarity with HACCP or other Food Safety and Quality plans is helpful.
Cancellation and Refund Policy:
If a trainee is unable to attend the training after registration, they will be able to attend a training session on the same topic offered at a future date, at no additional cost. Cancellations are only allowed if the cancellation request is received in excess of 14 days prior to the start date of the training activity. A 5% administration fee will be incurred for all cancellations. No cancellations are allowed after 14 days prior to the start date of the training.
The early registration fee applies to registrations completed at least 14 days prior to the start date of the training activity.
